Presentation skill workshop-The art of the presentation is amazing.

2022-04-27

Thanks to our instructor Mr. Clive Siu from Toronto, Canada. Through the presentation skill workshop of these four courses, let us strengthen our presentation skills.

Through lively narration and implementation, let us understand the use of pictures to connect the audience under the stage. Especially when we come to the stage to give a briefing, we must use good body language and the ups and downs of our voice, which is very rewarding.

A successful presenter can allow us to have a good interaction cycle with the audience. In other words, if we can enjoy the sense of accomplishment brought by each presentation or opinion, it will last a lifetime.

Here are some feedback from our students.

Thank You IHP for the endless academic support! wonderful course it was! Enrolling and completing the Presentation skills Workshop was such an amazing experience, of impact; I learned much more than just a presentation, it was beyond that, it was the way of communication in all its details and facets. I joined the workshop hoping to learn basics in presentation and must say it was beyond  'basics' but a holistic approach to a successful presentation. It achieves that by focusing on 3 things: Yourself, the presentation and the audience! I strongly suggest this course to anyone who needs to present regularly. Even if you believe you are good, this course will take you to the next level, knowing the formular makes you feel better prepared, confident and ready for any challenge. Excellent & passionate facilitators, Thanks!!!

Ø  They managed to first do pre-assessment on our current level of presentation skills

Ø  Well organized presenters demonstrated vast experience and knowledge about presentation skills

Ø  They gave a clear outline of what will be covered by the workshop

Ø  In their presentation, they incorporated and demonstrated practical examples

Ø  They also allowed us time to practice and ask questions

Ø  The workshop was also provided at convenient time

This workshop provided insight to many things including the following:

Introduction

Ø   Design of the slides: colors and items used should be linked to topic. Keep the slides simple but attractive, use less words (put few points and elaborate using notes)

Ø   Self-introduction: give your self-introduction/your background (including professional and work experience) that will link you to your presentation; that is, that will give the audience an insight on why you chose/have you been chosen to present current topic.

Ø   Outline: provides the audience with information on what your presentation will cover Introducing the topic: use a “hook”, whether in a form of picture or a statement that will draw attention of the audience.

Conclusion

Ø   Do not abruptly end presentation: Let the audience know you have that you are now concluding

Ø   Link your conclusion to your introduction: you may as well link it to the “hook” used during introduction. Your conclusion should a summary of answers of the things highlighted in the background

Ø   End on a higher note: don’t sound exhausted

"Knowing and telling your story" What great opportunity IHP has given to us to attend presentation workshop hosted by Clive and David.

Learning presentation and public speaking skills from the first session till the last, and the application of such to my course presentations has made a huge improvement in engaging the audience and precision. Do not hesitate to attend this workshop, you will never remain the same after. "You will thank me later"

The art of the presentation is amazing. Thanks again for the workshop, we liked it very much.
