Welcome Mahidol University to visit IHP, NYCU on Nov. 17, 2022

很幸運有這個機會可以參與Mahidol大學來IHP的參訪。在這次的參訪中，兩間學校都介紹了各自的公衛課程以及修課有趣的地方。讓我印象最深刻的地方是Mahidol大學的學生有田野實習的機會，他們會到泰國的鄉鎮去利用所學去實習公衛相關議題，同時也會去體驗泰國的文化。非常高興IHP能夠與Mahidol大學在未來有進一步的合作包括專題討論、修課以及學生交換，讓我們有進一步的機會去學習和體驗不一樣國家的文化。

I am very appreciative of having the chance to participate in the visit of Mahidol University to IHP. Both universities introduced their program, which gave me a deeper understanding of public health at Mahidol University. I am very excited to hear that Mahidol University has an in-field internship and can have the opportunity to learn about Thai culture and walk into the village in Thailand. Very happy to hear that IHP can collaborate with Mahidol University on the future joint seminar, courses, and student exchanges. It may give students more chances to learn and experience different cultures.

IHP had invited two top universities from Thailand to visit our department: Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University and Faculty of Public Health, Chiang Mai University. Fortunately, I was able to make it to both meetings. In order to foster a cooperation, both Mahidol and Chiang Mai University were interested to establish a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with our department. The purposes of MOU are such as visiting scholar exchanges, students exchanged, resource sharing, collaborative research, etc. These two meetings were just the first ever official meeting between our department and Thai universities. I really would like our department to establish the MOU with these two universities so that we can encourage academic and educational cooperation in fields of mutual interest, particularly public health.
