The International Health Program of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was established in 2002. This program seeks to train students with interests in international health issues and equips them with capabilities in dealing with complex challenges in public health. The program aims to recruit both domestic and international students with the expectation of active learning and experience sharing among students with different backgrounds.
Previous students in this program came from different regions of the world: America (USA, Canada, Costa Rica, Belize, Honduras, Haiti, El Salvador, Ecuador, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Panama, Nicaragua, Colombia, Paraguay and Saint Christopher and Nevis), Africa (Burkina Faso, Swaziland, Gambia, Malawi, Nigeria, Kenya, São Tomé and Príncipe and South Africa), Asia (Russia, Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Israel and Japan), Oceania (Solomon Islands), and Europe (France, Poland, UK, Spain, Switzerland and Czech Republic).
The International Health Program is a collaborative program consisting of nine graduate institutes at Yang Ming Campus: Public Health, Health and Welfare Policy, Hospital and Health Care Administration, Clinical and Community Health Nursing, Microbiology and Immunology, Biomedical Informatics, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Tropical Medicine, and Traditional Medicine. All courses are in English.
