There is some recommendation from our First-year PhD. Student, Thea Nicholla Everille Benjamin from Saint Lucia. 
It has been an honor to be accepted into the NYCU International Health Program (IHP) family. The administrative staff are warm, welcoming and very helpful. The professors come from diverse backgrounds and have a wealth of knowledge which they expertly use to guide us through our courses and advise us in our research. Many of the courses taught at IHP focus on research and are very rigorous. From these courses we gain knowledge and skills that will be invaluable to our future careers.
Equally as important as the academics is the social dimensions of this program. The program is truly international as our classmates come from many countries around the world. In the classroom we learn in English but outside the classroom we have the opportunity to not only learn Mandarin but several other languages from each other. We are unofficial ambassadors of our countries. As the first St. Lucian student studying at IHP I am proud to share my culture with my classmates and other people I meet here in Taiwan. Likewise, I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to learn about their cultures from them as well. These relationships we forge will be the foundation of the networks we will utilize in the future. In my time here, I feel like I have already grown so much. I am beyond grateful and I look forward to learning more both inside and outside of the classroom.
